West Michigan Area Show

Well my most recent painting David has been accepted into the West Michigan Area show, no small feat there having been almost eight hundred entries. Kalamazoo Institute of Arts members along with exhibiting artists and their families and friends are invited to attend a special reception on Friday, March 23, 2007, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Announcements of awards will be made at 6:30 p.m. The Show opens on March 24 and runs until May 6, 2007. so there you go.

oil on canvas 16x20". This is a painting I am working on for submission into the 2007 West Michigan Area Show at the Kalamazoo Institute of Art. I took many of the quotes that fill the background directly from things that Dean says throughout the day. The foreground was drawn from life and painted later.
